With the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool you can create bootable media for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and even Windows 10. Even though it’s called the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool we have tested it with all these operating systems and with both 32-bit and 64-bit installations. The reason why it’s working with so many Windows versions is the fact that the Windows Setup structure hasn’t changed since Windows 7.

Step 1: When you open the software then A UAC Prompt will be shown. Click or tap Yes.

Step 2: You will be asked to select the “.iso” file containing the Windows installation files. Click or tap Browse.

Step 3: You will be asked to select the “.iso” file containing the Windows installation files. Click or tap Browse.

Step 4: After choosing the file, click or tap Next.

Step 5: You are asked to choose the type of media that you want to create. You will need an empty USB memory stick or a blank DVD to move forward. Plug in the type of media that you want to use and then select it in the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool.

Step 6: After selecting the media type, select the drive where the selected media type is found and click or tap Begin copying.

Step 7: If that drive is not empty, you are asked to erase it (this works only for USB memory sticks). Click or tap “Erase USB device” to continue.

Step 8: You are informed that the tool will erase all contents from the selected device. Click or tap Yes to confirm the operation.

Step 9: The Windows installation files are now being copied to the selected drive. Wait for the process to finish as it will take a while.

Step 10: When done, you are informed that the bootable device was created successfully. Close the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool and eject the drive from your computer.

Step 11: You can now use that drive to install Windows on other devices and computers.
